The best I have heard him sing this, but that guitar solo completely ruined the performance for me. Remove that solo and you have a nearly perfect live version.
I this is why when i saw him in 1979 at the garden in NYC a guy with one album played for well over 3 hours .The next week i saw rhe beach boys who had 25 years worth of music and played for 45 min . Best $12.50 i ever spent in my life.
Meat Loaf and Patty had such incredible chemistry, none of the other female singers had it. I don’t know if the fans will ever find out what happened to cause the 2013 break ,I do hope they were able to settle their differences before Meat Loaf passed.
I've seen a lot of great artists and rock bands over the years. Been taking up alot of Meatloaf again over last couple weeks. Truly has been hitting me how much I wished I could had seen him perform. I was a young teenager in '93 and I remember this song on the radio all the time. I remember riding the school bus and some of the "big" kids having this CD and playing it. I was very familiar with Bat out of Hell even at that time and loved it. Even in full know that that album was quite old but here's Meat at that time still on top of the music world!!! I thought it was neat as hell and had been playing guitar for a few years at that point with aspirations of my own! Seems like yesterday. Listening to that song and watching him perform it takes me right back. That guy was absolutely a performer that could sing with the most amazing voice and the soul and passion that ya really just don't see! .. at least not like he does it! Sorry... just a moment of regret here.. I don't know how much he performed let's sat after 2000??... but damn I wish now I really could had seen him at least once. RIP Meat. Yur music is moving yet today and for generations to come

Later same year at the end of his 19 concert run across Ireland, Feile '90 in Tipperary, that concert run was a game changer for the great man. Saw Meat on his return after the release of Bat 2 in Dec '93. Saw him at every concert after which was 10 more times till his final farewell gig in 2013, an emotional farewell from the big man where he performed every song on Bat Out Of Hell & many others. Memories to treasure
I am one very lucky individual to have attended all 12 of the 12 times Meat Loaf visited Ireland. Incredible. I was also so so happy to be in that crowd, 1990 that was a big part of restoring Meat's confidence & getting his mojo back as he played in Ireland for nearly a year before heading back to the USA where work started on Bat 2. This is something Meat thanked the audience for, many times on stage & TV interviews here.....
